A mere 30 minutes away from Cape Town lies the world-renowned Cape Winelands, the biggest wine region of South Africa. Visiting the main towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl, you will experience some of the best wine produced in South Africa.
The scenic drive through mountain passes, valleys, and quaint little villages will make you want to spend more than just a day. Stellenbosch dates back to the late 1600s when the town was established. The inner city is lined with old historic buildings dating back to the era of Dutch and English occupation. It also boasts with one of South Africa's top universities and is considered South Africa's food and wine capital.
Franschhoek is a quaint little village also known as the French Corner. Alongside Stellenbosch, this is a stop worth visiting, with plenty of boutique shops, galleries, and jewelry shops. The town also boasts some of the most beautiful views and good food and wine.
Paarl The third oldest town in South Africa and the birthplace of the third most spoken language in South Africa, Afrikaans. The town is known for good Chenin Blanc and Shiraz production. Our journey will take us into these three towns, and we will get to experience the culture, the food, and, of course, the wine.
You will sample 5 different wines on 3-4 estates and have the opportunity to buy some. Plenty of scenic photo moments and of the cellars, as some of these buildings showcase some of the most impressive architectural styles.
